Key Performance manages specific projects within defined goals and timelines. We are especially interested in the interface zones between Art, Science and Business. How can the artistic world learn from scientific and industrial knowledge? Can the scientific and the business world benefit from the knowledge that seems to belong pre-eminently to the artistic world? What new theories, models or tools can be generated through the collaboration between artists, scientist and entrepreneurs?
Art, Science and Business are not completely separate worlds, but aspects of the same reality. Synthesis can lead to new insights. This goes back to the idea of consilience, a term revived by the humanist biologist Edward O. Wilson, which literally means ‘a jumping together of knowledge by the linking of facts and fact-based theory across disciplines to create a common groundwork for explanation.’ Factual knowledge of all kinds is rising exponentially and is readily available. The world of the future will be run by synthesizers; people able to put together the right information at the right time, think critically about it, and make important choices wisely. By building on the triangle of Art, Science and Business, Key Performance wants to be part of this process. In that context, we stimulate and proactively search for collaboration with the corporate sector and the academic field.
